ENGIE held its annual Supplier Day recently at the New Cap Event Center in Paris, France. It was attended by ENGIE’s top executives, including CEO Catherine Macgregor and Senior Vice-President Paulo Almirante, as well as more than 300 major suppliers from around the world. Wu Gang, Chairman of Goldwind, was also invited to this event.
ENGIE Supplier Day highlighted the company’s supply-chain resilience, innovation, competitiveness and, above all, its commitment to decarbonization to achieve its net zero objective by 2045. As a long-term supplier and partner of ENGIE Group, Goldwind is committed to improving the sustainability and efficiency of its supply chain through innovative technology and lean management, and thus supporting the green development of ENGIE’s supply-chain system.
In recognition of its firm commitment to and its professional and efficient service in its cooperation with ENGIE, Goldwind was felicitated in the “Renewables Industrial Performance” category, one of ENGIE’s six major professional categories. Goldwind was the only renewable equipment supplier to receive this honor. This award not only recognizes Goldwind’s past efforts, but also underscores the broad prospects for future cooperation between the two parties.
Mr. Paulo Almirante presented the trophy to Wu Gang while praising Goldwind’s outstanding production and manufacturing standards, excellent turbine performance and compliance capabilities, and efficient communication mechanisms. He lauded the high level of mutual trust and expressed hope for continued collaboration to achieve win-win results.
Accepting the honor, Wu Gang expressed gratitude for ENGIE’s trust and encouragement, stating that receiving this award was not only an honor for Goldwind but also for its supply-chain partners. It reflects ENGIE’s recognition of Goldwind’s successful supply-chain management and decarbonization. Goldwind will continue to support ENGIE’s global business and work together to achieve the global net-zero emission objective, he said. Wu Gang reiterated Goldwind’s commitment to adhere to market rules, improve accessibility, ensure project delivery quality, and pursue quality projects to promote the economies of the home countries and facilitate their green transformation.
Goldwind takes environmental concerns and the social impact of its products and services throughout the entire product life cycle seriously, he said. Sustainable development in R&D, design, part procurement, manufacturing, installation, O&M and after-service, is a priority, he added. Besides, Goldwind will continue to organize activities around the concept of sustainability, help lead the sustainable transformation and upgrading of industry, and build industrial chains featuring sustainable and clean energy, energy conservation, and environmental protection.
